The Company

Weldall Architectural Fabrications was established in 1988 and is now a UK specialist, supporting the construction industry by offering bespoke architectural products in aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel.

The Problem

When Weldall started more than 30 years ago, it was way before the time of the internet and the modern technology that exists today. Over the years, they gradually built up their IT system, computer by computer, printer by printer. However, as the company expanded, it eventually became apparent that it had outgrown its ‘home-made workplace network’ and it was time to call in some help. They approached Techcare to help bring its technology up to date.

The Solution

Within 24 hours of Weldall’s call to Techcare, team member Lewis went to see what he could do. He spent some time with the company to see how they operated and to assess their software requirements. Our MD Karl then went with Lewis to present the quotation for a new bespoke computer network which was completely tailored to their needs. Weldall gave us the go-ahead, and within a few weeks, installation began.

The Outcome

Weldall instantly saw a ‘massive increase’ in efficiency and fewer mistakes occurring. Plus, with Techcare’s aftercare, any niggles or teething problems were addressed within minutes. As a result of the work Techcare delivered, the company has also seen a 23% increase in turnover since implementation, demonstrating a clear business impact from the technology strategy that was created for the business.

Weldall’s Director commented: “The support Techcare gives us is second to none. We come to them with little queries all the time, but they are always happy to help. Three years on and I can honestly say that making that decision to put an investment into completely overhauling our old-dated system has been well worth it, my only regret is we didn’t do it sooner.
